The Company’s operations are organized into five segments: News and Information Services; Book Publishing; Digital Real Estate Services; Cable Network Programming, and Other. The Company comprises businesses across a range of media, including news and information services, book publishing, digital real estate services, cable network programming in Australia and pay-television distribution in Australia, that are distributed under brands, including The Wall Street Journal, Dow Jones, The Australian, Herald Sun, The Sun, The Times, HarperCollins Publishers, FOX SPORTS Australia,, and Foxtel, among others. The Company also owns a stake in Foxtel, a pay-television provider in Australia, which is accounted for as an equity investment. The Company operates primarily in the United States, Australia and the United Kingdom, and its content is distributed and consumed across the world. The Company delivers its content to consumers across numerous distribution platforms consisting not only of traditional print and television, but also through an array of digital platforms, including Websites, applications for mobile devices and tablets, social media and e-book devices.

News Corp Class A does not satisfy the requirements of either the Enterprising Investor or the more conservative Defensive Investor. The Defensive Investor is concerned with the low current ratio, insufficient earnings stability over the last ten years, and the poor dividend history, and the high PEmg and PB ratios. The Enterprising Investor has concerns regarding the level of debt relative to the current assets, and the lack of earnings stability or growth over the last five years. As a result, all value investors following the ModernGraham approach should explore other opportunities at this time or proceed cautiously with a speculative attitude.

As for a valuation, the company appears to be Overvalued after seeing its EPSmg (normalized earnings) decline from $-0.2 in 2015 to an estimated $-0.81 for 2019.
